Strong German Presence at Wine Paris

From 10th – 12th February 2025, the German Wine Institute (DWI) will be presenting wines and sparkling wines from 51 companies at this year’s international wine trade fair “Wine Paris” at the joint stand of the Federal Ministry of Food and Agriculture (BMEL) in the German Pavilion in Hall 4 H283.

The wine producers come from nine wine-growing regions and represent a new record for the German presence at the trade fair in Paris. ‘We are delighted that so many wine producers are taking part in the trade fair,’ explained Monika Reule. This increases the attractiveness of the German joint stand and at the same time emphasises the growing importance of exports for the domestic wine industry, said the DWI Managing Director.

Seminars and tastings

At the DWI tasting counter, in addition to the German flagship grape varieties Riesling and Pinot Noir, white Burgundy varieties as well as sparkling and non-alcoholic wines from the ranges of the German exhibitors will be available for tasting. Expert advice will be provided by the German Wine Princess Julia Lambrich, among others.

The DWI will also be offering trade visitors a varied programme of seminars and themed tastings on the three days of the fair at the joint stand. On Monday morning, the focus will be on German premium sparkling wines with the ‘Licence to Sparkle’, on Tuesday it will be on ‘The Art of Dry Riesling: From Everyday to Exceptional’ and ‘Hidden Gems: German Pinot Noir’, while on Wednesday the spotlight will be on German Chardonnay and Kabinett wines.
