31 Days of Riesling is back this July

The 31 Days of German Riesling is sweeping across London’s hottest restaurants, wine bars, independent wine shops, wine retailers and supermarkets this summer.

With participants such as Vagabond, Humble Grape, Cork & Bottle Wine Bar, German Gymnasium, Som Saa taking part this year, it’s set to be an exciting July indeed. Oddbins and Waitrose will also join in the celebration, with in-store tastings and special offers on all German Rieslings.

They also say it takes 30 days to develop a habit, so here’s to 31 Days and a lifelong habit of Riesling. Here’s just a snapshot of some of the events taking place this July:


Vagabond has revolutionised the way we drink wine with its constantly changing wine list and enomatic machines offering revolving wines allowing us to ‘try before you buy’. These guys are also in support of what is to them ‘the greatest wine on earth’ and will be hosting a Riesling tasting at their Fulham location. Link to the event page here.

Last Drop Wines

This friendly wine bar in Chelsea has gone all out for Riesling in July. The shop will open a new bottle of German Riesling every day for customers to sample for free. On the 13th July, they will host a wine dinner at Lorfords in their beautiful English garden. Jonas Tester, founder of ‘The Chef Foundation’ has designed a four-course menu for guests, curated so that each dish complements each wine. On the 25th July, the shop will also host an in-store evening tasting.

Cheese, cheese, cheese. And Riesling.

Bedales Leadenhall Market will be hosting a Riesling and Cheese pairing class. Wine specialist, cheese enthusiast and Riesling fanatic Dan Belmont will take guests on a journey through five delicious pairings.

Humble Grape

Humble Grape’s humble beginnings and authentic approach to no-fuss delicious wines have helped the wine bar open its third location in Islington this summer.
